Plug & Go 12V

The garden lighting range from Elstead is offered as a distinct mains voltage group and the much more extensive Garden Zone Plug & Go 12volt range.

Decide which areas of your garden you want to illuminate, and choose which fittings will give you the light level you need. 

Measure the distance over which the cable will need to run, passing through each point you require a light. also determine where the nearest suitable mains socket.

There are two important things to remember: 1) You must not use more than 50 metres of cable (excluding cable supplied with light fitting) from any one LED driver unit and 2) The total number of watts required for the light fittings selected must be no less than the minimum and no more than the maximum wattage of the chosen driver unit.

Use the following procedure to help create your order: 

1. Based on how many lights are needed, select which Cable Set will be required, more than one set can be used.
2. If an extension cable is required select this from the Extension Cables.
3. Choose the light fittings from any of the different types available, Bollards, Ground Lights, Spot Lights etc. The fittings come with 1.5 metres of cable to connect to the Cable Set.
4. Select which driver or drivers are required. Remember the minimum and maximium load criteria.
5. Choose any additional accessories, e.g. extension poles or ground spikes.

For example: 5 Garden Zone Bronze 9 fittings are required to light and area at the bottom of the garden 30metres from the nearest socket. Each fitting is 3W, therefore five fittings will be 15Watts. A large driver is required, as the total load exceeds the maximium of 9W for a small driver but is within the 6W minimum and 25W maximim of the large driver.
